三位工學院教職員獲科大卓越核心課程教學獎 2023 嘉許
工學院三名教職員榮獲香港科技大學卓越核心課程教學獎2023，以表揚他們在設計、教學以及向學生推廣核心課程方面所作出的貢獻。獎項於2024年5月30日舉行的頒獎典禮上頒發。
計算機科學及工程學系工程教育助理教授梁煒霆，憑藉「探索多媒體與網路運算」課程（CORE 1231 Exploring Multimedia and Internet Computing）榮獲卓越核心課程教學獎2023。這個課程的學生以非工程專業的學生為主，梁教授在課程中開創了一套優秀的混合教育方法，令學生能夠在富有趣味且有目標的學習環境中得到啟發和培養計算思維的能力。
在此前，梁教授曾於2019年憑藉同一課程獲得卓越核心課程教學獎榮譽獎。此外，他亦憑另一課程——「離散數學工具與計算機科學」（COMP 2711 Discrete Mathematical Tools for Computer Science）獲得2021年的卓越核心課程教學獎。
工程教育創新中心副主任陳銳斌教授及工程教育創新中心助教Paul LAVIGNE先生憑藉「工程團隊設計體驗」課程（CORE 1200 Engineering Team Design Experience）獲得卓越核心課程教學獎2023榮譽獎。透過在課程中為來自不同學系的學生設計具創意的任務，例如在互動實時的 3D 虛擬環境中設計和建造 2050 年的科大校園，他們釋放了學生的創新思維，並提升了他們的解難能力和工程設計能力。
在此前，陳銳斌教授曾獲頒卓越核心課程教學獎2016榮譽獎，其得獎課程為「土木工程與現代社會」（CIVL 1160 Civil Engineering and Modern Society）。
