科大喜迎香港青年工業家協會到訪
香港青年工業家協會於六月十一日由其基金會會長許亮華先生、協會副會長張益麟先生及陳偉聰先生率領下一行十八人到訪香港科技大學；此行他們出席由署理校長史維教授及副校長(大學拓展)林文怡教授設置的歡迎午宴，了解有關工學院、人工智能、工業4.0以及綜合系統與設計之最新發展，並參觀機器人研究所。當日大學除了安排逾十名教授與工業家交流外，並邀得校董會成員暨大學拓展委員會副主席廖家俊教授介紹「創新及科技基金」下的資助計劃，藉以鼓勵工業家與科大進一步合作。
席上史維教授表示，科大重視與工業家合作並期待將來會有更緊密的聯繫，共同努力為業界培養人才及推動科研工作；亦希望工業界能為學生提供更多的實習機會。
