科大出席“推動粵港澳科技創新要素對接”專題研討會
4月1日上午，粵港澳大灣區創新合作交流會—“推動粵港澳科技創新要素對接”專題研討會在南沙喜來登酒店舉辦。南沙開發區（自貿區南沙片區）管委會副主任潘玉璋，科技部戰略規劃司原副司長、中國科學院青藏高原研究所二級研究員余建，中國科學院院士、香港科學院創院院士陳新滋，香港科技大學首席副校長倪明選，暨南大學副校長洪岸，南方海洋科學與工程廣東省實驗室（廣州）副主任兼香港分部主任、香港科技大學海洋科學系系主任錢培元等國家及大灣區頂尖科研院校、機構的知名專家學者、政府代表、科創企業代表等共80余人出席研討會。
倪明選首席副校長進行了主題為"培養創新人才，發展尖端科技“的演講。倪校長介紹，香港科技大學（以下簡稱“港科大”）建校只有短短30年，但港科大已成為世界上最具影響力的研究型大學之一。港科大一直以來註重培養創業人才和創業思維，從港科大走出了大疆創新無人機、雲洲智能無人船、一清創新無人車等擁有顛覆性技術的科技品牌。
香港科技大學（廣州）的落成，將以港科大一體，雙校園互補為目標，兩個校園在學術、行政和知識轉移方面相互增效、互補，推動香港科技大學整體的發展，迅速為大灣區培育國家需求的多元化的高端人才。在學術架構建設上彼此關聯而無重疊，傳統學科學院架構與全面融合學科樞紐架構錯位發展。以快速解決國家社會有需求的領域為目標，建立以探索為導向的融合學科主動學習模式，聚集高層次人才參與大灣區國際科技創新中心的蓬勃發展。
