香港科技大学陈繁昌校长与剑桥大学校长 畅谈大学教育
香 港 科 技 大 学 （ 科 大 ）校 长 陈 繁 昌 教 授 今 天 与 剑 桥 大 学 校长 Leszek Borysiewicz 教 授 在 科 大 的 「 校 长 论 坛 」 上 畅 谈 大 学 教 育 。 剑 桥 大 学 是 世 界 顶 尖 大 学 ； 它 的 教 授 和 校 友 中 共 有 89 位 诺 贝 尔 奖 得 主 。
Borysiewicz 教 授 表 示 ： 一 所 世 界 级 大 学 必 须 专 注 ， 并 有 坚 定的 决 心 。 他 说 ： 大 学 有 了 优 秀 的 教 授 ， 才 会 吸 引 优 秀 的 学 生 。 他 又 说 ： 剑 桥 大 学 的 成 功 关 键 是 不 断 奋 进 ， 力 臻 至 善 。
他 表 示 ： 有 竞 争 才 有 进 步 ， 但 另 一 方 面 ， 合 作 也 会 促 成 发展 。 研 究 方 面 ， 他 说 基 础 研 究 与 应 用 研 究 都 同 样 重 要 ， 并 必 须 平 衡 发 展 。
他 又 说 ： 香 港 科 技 大 学 已 经 有 了 良 好 的 基 础 ， 在 未 来 岁 月必 定 可 以 再 创 高 峰 。
「 校 长 论 坛 」 是 科 大 二 十 周 年 校 庆 的 活 动 之 一 。
