生物科技及商业
香港科技大学将于2016至2017学术年度开办一个崭新的跨学科课程－ 生物科技及商学理学士，课程设计正好体现科技产业与商业之间的重要联系。
新课程由科大理学院和商学院合办，为全港首个结合高端生物科技知识与商业理论的学士课程。这个跨学科课程涵盖数量相等的理学和商学课目，培养学生同时掌握基本技术知识（生命科学、生物科技）和营商技巧（会计、经济、营运管理和其他范畴），建立稳固的学术基础。
生物科技及商学理学士课程主任王殷厚教授指出：「生物科技行业近年在香港及大中华地区的发展急速，市场对兼具生物科技知识及商业专长的人才需求殷切。这个崭新的跨学科课程将成为解决区内专业人才不足的方案之一。」
此外，另一课程主任黄健辉教授表示有关课程的特点是让学生有机会涉猎多元领域，培育他们成为兼备生物科技知识及商业专长的人才，对毕业生日后求职或创业提供有利条件。
该四年制课程亦致力提升学生的创造力和批判性思考能力，扩阔环球视野，有助他们掌握生物科技最新的发展和应用前景。
