罗康锦教授获选香港工程院院士
工学院院长罗康锦教授丶工程师，JP获选为2024年度香港工程院（前称香港工程科学院）院士。本届共有11位在工程领域作出卓越贡献的人士获选，名单于2024年12月9日举行的第31届香港工程院年度大会上公布，颁授仪式已于2025年1月20日顺利举行。
罗教授现为土木及环境工程学系讲座教授及极智慧城市研究院创始主任，他自2023年1月出任工学院院长。
罗教授是智慧交通系统丶智慧城市和可持续发展的杰出学者。他为香港研发了首个基于代理的动态交通模型，该模型已被业界采纳及应用于网络服务规划；他就设置交通灯号回旋处的研究也获业界采纳推行。罗教授对本地的学术研究环境有深入了解，而且积极与政府和业界协作。
香港工程院成立于1994年，是一个致力于推广和促进香港工程发展的着名组织。它旨在推动工程领域的协作丶创新和卓越质素，务求为社会的进步和香港及国家的发展作出贡献。香港工程院的院士来自多个领域，他们在工程科学及其应用上均取得非凡成就，是他们所属领域内备受推崇的领袖。
