香港中华厂商联合会到访科大了解学生发展
為了进一步了解本地高等教育及青少年工作之发展，香港中华厂商联合会(厂商会)会长李秀恒博士连同五名副会长(包括徐炳光博士、杨志雄先生、徐晋暉先生、吴清焕先生及戴泽良博士)及教育委员会主席卢毓琳博士、其他常务会董及会董等一行22人于六月四日到访香港科技大学。他们参观了大学教学设施及在工程教育创新中心与教授及学生们交流意见 。
科大校长陈繁昌教授感谢厂商会过去八十一年為香港发展所作出的贡献及祝其再创高峯。 副校长翁以登博士祈望与厂商会有更多合作机会，例如作為厂商会「社群共融：多元路向暑期培训计划2015」之合办机构，招待高中学生作一天大学生之生活体验，藉此鼓励青少年迎接挑战，力争上游。
李秀恒博士讚赏科大在短短二十四年取得今日非凡的成就，并鼓励学生们多用创意去為香港科技进步继续努力。
最后，科大就厂商会过往十年不断捐赠奖学金予科大同学，并曾捐助有关清洁空气之研究，表示衷心感谢。
