Papers from ECE Department Accepted at ISSCC 2009

Two papers from the ECE department of HKUST have been accepted for presentation at the 2009 International Solid-State Circuits Conference (ISSCC), which is also known as “the Chip Olympic” in San Francisco in February 2009.

The first paper entitled "Digitally Assisted Quasi V2 Hysteretic Buck Converter with Fixed Frequency and without using Large-ESR Capacitor" was from Dr. Feng Su and Wing-Hung Ki. Dr. Su just completed his PhD degree at HKUST in August 2008.

The second paper entitled "0.9mW 7GHz and 1.6mW 60GHz Frequency Dividers with Locking-Range Enhancement in 0.13μm CMOS" was from Sujiang Rong, Alan Wing Lun Ng, and Howard C. Luong. Mr. Rong and Mr. Ng are currently third-year and fourth-year post-graduate students, respectively.

The ISSCC is the foremost forum for presentation of advances in solid-state circuits and systems-on-a-chip. The Conference offers a unique opportunity for engineers working at the cutting edge of IC design and use to maintain technical currency, and to network with leading experts.
