Paper of CBME PhD Student, Lin Yong, Nominated to Excellence in Graduate Polymer Research Symposium
Lin Yong, PhD student supervised by Prof. Chi Ming Chan, has had her paper “Effects of surface modification of the filler on the impact toughness of polypropylene/CaCO3 nanocomposites” nominated to the Excellence in Graduate Polymer Research Symposium, Salt Lake City, 2009. The Symposium is sponsored by the ACS Division of Polymer Chemistry (POLY) and cosponsored by the Society Committee on Education (SOCED), Younger Chemists Committee (YCC) and the Division of Professional Relations (PROF). This symposium has also been designated (and co-sponsored) as a Presidential Event (PRES) at the National ACS Meeting at Salt Lake City by ACS President-Elect Tom Lane. Selection in this symposium is a distinct honor of recognition among the polymer community.
