HKUST receives HK$200 million from Kaisa Group Holdings Ltd

HKUST has received a large gift from Kaisa Group Holdings Ltd, a company listed on the Hong Kong stock exchange. The generous HK$200 million to the University, received yesterday, will drive forward innovative research and education.

The donation will endow a Kaisa professorship, and support a joint research institute to conduct research in chosen fields including advanced materials, the Internet of things, and big data.

Kaisa has been an enthusiastic supporter of HKUST. With this latest gift, the University will have more resources to support and lead cutting-edge research as well as talent development and knowledge transfer.
