HKUST Engineering Welcomes 17 New Faculty Members

The School of Engineering welcomes 17 new faculty members who joined the School’s six departments in the recent six months. Hailing from diverse backgrounds and top universities worldwide, this new group of accomplished scholars span the ranks of assistant professor, associate professor, professor, and chair professor. They bring in a wealth of expertise in research, teaching and technology transfer in their respective fields, ranging from perovskite semiconductors to engineered biochar, edge AI to computer architecture, stochastic simulation and optimization to piezoelectric materials. Working with our existing group of stellar faculty, the new members are set to raise the School’s level of excellence further by strengthening our multidisciplinary research and innovative teaching and providing fresh impetus to our dynamic community.
