Donation of RMB5million from Prof LAU Fu Wing, Director of Chiu Hing Construction and Transportation Co. Ltd for establishment of "Professor FW LAU Engineering Education Exchange Fund"
With the very generous donation of RMB5million from Professor LAU Fu Wing, Director of Chiu Hing Construction and Transportation Co. Ltd., an agreement was signed on 20th November 2007 between Prof Lau, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and Tsinghua University for the establishment of ‘‘Professor FW LAU Engineering Education Exchange Fund’’. As per Prof FW Lau’s kind advice, the Exchange Fund aims at enhancing exchanges on engineering education between Hong Kong and the mainland. Academic and exchange activities, with focus in civil engineering, will be organized for faculty and students of HKUST and Tsinghua University.
