劉鳴煒先生到訪香港科技大學與劉鑾雄慈善基金獎學金得獎學生見面
香港科技大學校長陳繁昌教授於今天為劉鳴煒先生和劉鑾雄慈善基金獎學金得獎學生在校長宿舍舉辦聚會，其他出席者包括副校長（大學拓展）翁以登博士、人文社會科學學院院長李中清教授、工商管理學院院長邢吉天教授、理學院副院長高錦明教授、工學院副院長崔志英教授、工商管理學院副院長許佳龍教授和獎助學金辦事處主任林惟良博士。
獎學金成立自今，科大每年均會舉辦聚會讓捐款人和得獎同學見面。劉先生十分重視此傳統。在聚會中，他與同學們分享他從事公職服務時接觸年青人的經驗和故事，並邀請同學們分享他們對增強學習和交流經驗，以及完善香港教育制度的看法。同學們均積極發表意見，並向劉先生就基金會的支持表示謝意。
劉鑾雄慈善基金由劉鳴煒先生的父親劉鑾雄先生成立。基金於2003年捐款科大，成立劉鑾雄慈善基金獎學金，以吸引更多優秀的學生修讀科大本科課程，及培育優秀學生成為香港社會未來領袖。自成立以來，已有近300名學生獲得該獎學金。
