杰出科大生获颁达利慈善基金海外交流奖学金
在2018年1月3日，香港科技大学副校长（大学拓展）林文怡博士代表科大接受达利国际集团执行董事林知誉先生的100万港元捐款。达利国际集团是一家上市公司，是全球领先的丝绸生產及分销商。林知誉先生希望透过成立奖学金计划，鼓励同学力争上游，并藉着海外学习经歷扩阔视野。达利慈善基金由林知誉先生的父亲林富华先生成立，而这次捐助是基金与科大的首度合作。
当日出席捐赠仪式的嘉宾还有香港科技大学副学务长林惟良博士、达利国际集团资讯总监罗民锦先生，以及两位奖学金得主郑嘉亮先生和李孟希先生。两位得主均為叁年级学生，将于本月前往苏黎世联邦理工学院（Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich）学习交流。他们将有机会修读部份研究生课程，在日后进修时有关学分将获得认可。
达利慈善基金海外交流奖学金计划在2017年成立(请按此瀏览该奖学金详情)，旨在每年资助十位来自不同学科的杰出本地及非本地本科生前往亚洲以外的国家，参与至少一个完整学期的交流体验。科大今年安排奖学金得主到各地顶尖学府进行学习交流，其中叁名得主前赴瑞士的大学，另外七名得主前赴美国的大学（南加州大学、乔治亚理工学院，以及宾州大学、康奈尔大学和哥伦比亚大学）。我们衷心感谢达利慈善基金对科大的信心，鼎力支持我们為香港及祖国培育人才的愿景。
