CBE FYP students won the 2nd place at the global competition of AICHE Chemical Engineering for Good Challenge (ACE4G)
A student team of CBE’s final year design project, consisting of Shane Rayhan D’SOUZA, Woo Won SHIM, Kyu Won SHIM and Mohammed AANAS, supervised by Prof. Tom LUO is one of the three winners at the global competition at AICHE Chemical Engineering for Good Challenge (ACE4G).
As mentioned in the AICHE Citation listed below, “These students developed a very economical solution to solve two problems; solar-powered streetlights in Nigeria that do not have batteries to operate at night and avoiding sending used electric car batteries to the dump.”
