Team of Third Year Students Awarded First Runner-up at Business Facilities Safety Design Competition for Small & Medium Enterprise 2005

A team of third year students of the Electronic and Computer Engineering Department, Sau-Wai Wong, Lap-Wah Ng, Yui-Fung Cheung, and Brian Man-Hong Yeung, was awarded the First Runner-up at the Business Facilities Safety Design Competition for Small & Medium Enterprise 2005, supervised by Prof Mansun Chan. The Competition was organized by Occupational Safety and Health Council to encourage students to design and develop business facilities or installations for small and medium enterprises to improve their working environment. Their award-winning, innovative design project is a toxic gas watch for workers who engaged in underground industrial work.
