Prof. Naubahar SHARIF Received Funding from Cornell-HKUST Global Strategic Collaboration Award

Prof. Naubahar SHARIF, Acting Head and Professor of the Division of Public Policy (PPOL), received a funding from the “2022 Cornell University – The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology Global Strategic Collaboration Awards” program with Prof. Ding FEI from Cornell University on their project on “Competing or Complementary Hegemons? An Analysis of the West’s Responses to China’s Belt and Road Initiative”.

The applications for the funding were all extremely strong and reviewed by joint committees that took into account the intellectual merit of the proposals, potential to foster future collaborations and research initiatives, as well as fit with campus research strengths and priorities. A total of US$10,000 is awarded to the project for the period from 1 Janaury to 31 December 2023.
