HKUST joins together with 6 universities and HKSTP to launch the Hong Kong Techathon 2020

In its 4th edition, the Hong Kong Techathon 2020 is going to be co-organised by HKSTP and 7 universities including CityU, CUHK, HKBU, HKU, HKUST, LingnanUniversity and PolyU. It is a 42-hour challenge where programmers, engineers, designers, marketers and entrepreneurs will work collaboratively over a weekend to come up with ideas and prototypes and pitch for seed fund and incubation support.

The event will be held on 10-12 January, 2020 at InnoCentre, Kowloon Tong. Participants will join together to build a prototype on 4 different areas: New Generation Technology, Big Data & Fintech, Smart City and Health-Care & Social Impact. University students and alumni with technology-related business ideas are welcome to join.

There are two Pre-Techathon Mixers for participants to meet like-minded individuals and know more about the four themes of the Techathon. Interested parties can register for the mixers and team up with different people to join the Techathon.

The application deadline for the Hong Kong Techathon 2020 will be on 23 December, 2019. For more information, visit: https://www.hongkongtechathon2020.com/
