Mr. TANAKA Hideo Met with Awardees of “AEON Credit Service Scholarships”
On May 9, Mr. TANAKA Hideo, Managing Director and Executive Director of AEON Credit Service (Asia) Company Limited, visited campus to meet the awardees of “AEON Credit Service Scholarships”. The get-together was joined by Council Member Prof. Albert IP; Prof. Sabrina LIN, Vice-President for Institutional Advancement; Dr. Tony LAM, Associate Dean of Students and Head of Scholarships and Financial Aid Office; and Ms. Daisy CHAN, Director of Development and Alumni Office.
The Scholarship was established in 2018 to support local undergraduate students with outstanding academic performance and each year 15 students receive the scholarship. The first batch of recipients expressed gratitude to Mr. TANAKA Hideo and AEON group. They shared with him their studies at HKUST and future plans. Mr TANAKA encouraged them to diversify their learning opportunities and be proactive in trying new things. This would be important for their future career.
