HKUST Start-ups joined the HKTDC SmarBiz Expo 2019
The HKTDC SmartBiz Expo 2019 was held on 4-6 December 2019 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Four HKUST start-ups participated in the exhibition to showcase their technologies and products.
The HKTDC SmartBiz Expo 2019 was held on 4-6 December 2019 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Four HKUST start-ups, including Auvi Entertainment Inc. Ltd. (Auvi), Dayta AI Limited (Dayta AI), iSTEM Limited (iSTEM) and Ocean Science (Hong Kong) Limited (Ocean Science), participated in the exhibition to showcase their technologies and products.
Auvi aims at being the ultimate online-to-offline (O2O) activator in digital music, providing true “lossless” music by using perfecting High Resolution Audio specifications; Dayta AI leverages Artificial Intelligence (AI) algorithms to provide tailor made cost-effective AI solutions to clients; iSTEM is an EduTech which deploys AI, VR and gamification enhancing students' engagement in learning and predict their learning performance, with the help of sentiment analysis and hand gesture detection for big data analysis;Ocean Science uses an environmentally-friendly and high-efficiency marine antifouling agent to solve marine ecological damage and other marine pollution problems.
Aiming to transform small and medium enterprises (SMEs) for global growth, SmartBiz Expo enables the HKUST start-ups to gain wider exposure and connect with potential collaborators by featuring them in the Tech Zone. With emphasis on technology start-ups in the zone, not only could the HKUST start-ups introduce their products and services to the visitors, but HKUST was able to promote its cutting-edge technologies and show its endeavor in start-up support.
